Smithsonian Exhibit Hometown Teams 

We have partnered with the KY Humanities Council to host a Smithsonian Traveling exhibit called Hometown Teams-Click HERE for more info about the exhibit. The exhibit is free, open to the public and will be on display November 18th-December 30th 2017 at the Corbin Center located at 222 Corbin Center Dr. Hours for the exhibit are Monday’s: 9am-7pm; Tues-Fri 9am-8pm and Saturday’s from 10am-3pm.

June 12th-17th 2017

All week long from June 12-17 is a chance for locals and visitors alike to sample some of the best burgers within the city limits of Corbin as part of a city-wide celebration. We’ll give big love to burgers on Main Street in downtown Corbin, with each participating restaurant offering their own unique culinary treat. Grass-fed, bison, black bean, and everything in between, this is a meaty celebration you won’t want to miss!

Corbin Rail Museum

Corbin Christmas Parade

Held annually the FIRST Saturday in December in downtown Corbin, the parade features multiple businesses, individuals, and organizations. The parade starts at City Hall and travels down Main Street to Gordon Street. Its free to participate and applications will be available in the months leading up to the parade.

Corbin’s Annual “NIBROC” Festival

SheltonNIBROC is a city-wide celebration offering activities for all ages. People from all over Kentucky and the United States travel to Corbin to enjoy NIBROC events.  Join us for four days of fun, family and friends, August 9th- 12th. Headlining NIBROC are the FREE Concert Entertainment on our outdoor stage, featuring both local and world famous performers. Scheduled events include a car and motorcycle show; a 2K Run/Walk;Pageantclosing of the streets party; Miss Nibroc Scholarship Pageant; stages with a variety of entertainment; contests and games for children; craft, food and activity booths; two parades and carnival rides the entire week of the festival. Cumberland Valley Cruise-In

Cruise InThe Cumberland Valley Cruise-In attracts participants from all over the US, showcasing Classics, Hot Rods, Antiques and more. The Cruise-In is held early evenings on the second Saturday in May, June on Main Street in downtown Corbin, and in July and September at Cumberland Falls State Park.

Kentucky Native American Heritage Museum Benefit Pow-Wow

The Kentucky Native American Heritage Museum was founded in 1999 to promote understanding of North America’s Indigenous People from both historic and contemporary perspectives, through collection and dissemination of information about their histories, cultures, beliefs, and expressive arts; their existing communities, lifestyles, occupations and ways; and their past and ongoing contributions to Appalachia’s and our nation’s cultural weave.

Moonbow Nights

Moonbow NightsJoin Corbin Main Street for Downtown Corbin’s “Moonbow Nights”, a celebration of the Moonbow at the Cumberland Falls, a unique phenomenon in this part of the world.  What is a “Moonbow”? It’s a “rainbow” created by the mist of a waterfall and light of a full moon. Moonbows routinely occur in nature at in only two places in the world, Cumberland Falls near CORBIN KY, and Victoria Falls, Africa.

Downtown celebrations include live entertainment and other festivities.
